Drawing on traditional Korean architecture, the door panels are delicately suspended from the ceiling beneath the roof eaves.

CHANGWON BRIDGE CONCEPTUAL DESIGN

This pedestrian bridge is conceived as a critical urban design element and a landmark for the city in Korea. More than a piece of infrastructure, it redefines connectivity between the north and south districts, transforming a functional crossing into an elevated public landscape.

The bridge’s fluid form integrates pathways, gathering spaces, and planted areas, allowing it to function as both circulation and destination. By lifting the park into the air, it expands the definition of public space and enhances the overall user experience—offering new perspectives, social interaction, and continuity within the urban fabric.

My team and I, in collaboration with Heerim Architects & Planners, helped shape the design of a bridge.
